Start with a gold rare you can afford to be wrong about — something around 5,000 coins with real demand behind it.
Search the transfer market with a maximum buy-now just under the current lowest price. Not the lowest price: under it. You are looking for somebody who has listed lazily or wants out fast.
When one appears, buy it. Do not hesitate over 200 coins on a card you have already decided is cheap — hesitation is what costs you the card.
List it at the price the card actually sells for, not at the price you would like. Check what the last few sold for, then undercut those by a little. A card listed above the market is not an investment, it is a card you own.
Take the profit. The most common mistake is holding a good flip waiting for a better one.
